From the crib to the cross Jesus shared His life with all people, He made Himself One with all those suffering , being needy and He made it a condition of active love towards them an entry into His Kingdom . God spoke in parables about His Kingdom and the way leading there . 

He foretold of His suffering and resurrection three times , He foretold that he has to suffer a lot , they will kill Him , but on the third day He will rise again. 

Peter was indignant about this , but the others could not fathom this either .
