Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel….
Friday 26 May 2017
We taught God’s commandments, but we did not undertake it . We did not live according to what we proclaimed. We spoke beautifully about God , but we could not show our fellow human beings God’s face. Bishop Márton Áron .
For Márton Áron who lived through the horrors of the first world war it must have been horrible to see , how the world then was drifting into the second world war !! The above words are infinitely true , because God placed the steering wheel into the hands of man ,who has a free will , and our world was not steered wisely, calmly safely but we are tearing out the steering wheel form one another’s hand as we are speeding along !!
Lets quieten down and show our brethren the magnificent face of the God of peace !!
Father Csaba
translated by dr k.e.
Very truly, I tell you, you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice; you will have pain, but your pain will turn into joy. 21When a woman is in labour, she has pain, because her hour has come. But when her child is born, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy of having brought a human being into the world. 22So you have pain now; but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. 23On that day you will ask nothing of me.* Very truly, I tell you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.*
John 16, 20-23
