Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel Friday 15 December 2017
It is frightful to read these words of Jesus, dismaying to see Jesus as He gets down on His knees in front of the walls of Jerusalem and weeping for her people, the people living there ! God is crying because He knows that death is the payment for sin , and because of the sins of the many wicked people in this big town everything will be raised to the ground . During the quietness of Advent we think with shaken spirit to the many-many sins of mankind, but we should also think of our sins as well.I wonder what would Jesus say to me now , whether at Christmas would He fall on His knees at the door of my heart crying or will He step in rejoicing ? It depends on me ! It would be very important to do my reconciliation before Christmas , to cleanse my life with sincere repentance , dress my body and soul in festive garments . I believe and I am convinced that the fate of humanity is in our hands , my personal decision maybe a tiny drop of water , but the sea is formed from tiny drops as well . If my droplet is a sinful, vitriolic poison , then this drop can cause a huge damage to the sea. Lets not hesitate after a thorough soul searching lets do our Christmas reconciliation !
With love,
Father Csaba

Jesus said to the crowds:
"To what shall I compare this generation?
It is like children who sit in marketplaces and call to one another,
'We played the flute for you, but you did not dance,
we sang a dirge but you did not mourn.'
For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they said,
'He is possessed by a demon.'
The Son of Man came eating and drinking and they said,
'Look, he is a glutton and a drunkard,
a friend of tax collectors and sinners.'
But wisdom is vindicated by her works.”
Matthew 11, 16-19
