Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel Monday 15 January 2018
It’s carnival time !! The one who is without sin is in a state of grace can say , that the “bridegroom” is with us ! Christianity is not fakir, it is not our own torturing, tormenting , but the religion of endless rejoicing in the Lord ! A Christian's most important self-denial , is the honest fulfilment of our everyday tasks , responsibilities. It’s carnival time and if one carries out smilingly, in a good mood all that work that one accepted and what their superiors gave them , then the well done work should fill their heart with merriment, serenity, joy just like the nearness of the Creator God, whom he worships with a burning love ! Man baptised in the name of the Holy Trinity , even if around him there are worries , problems are growing , bravely one can give over oneself to the childlike pure joy , and with sparkling eyes , playful gaiety can live their life! The really great saints even in the shadow of death could be joyful and look their executioners in the eye with optimism as well ! There is nothing that can be done better , more properly scared, angry, depressed, than holding onto God with a joyous spirit ! The bridegroom is with us , let the most beautiful music of the spirit sound , the joyful laughter , the witty joking , the cheerful dialogue !
Have we gone astray ? Did we commit sins?! We know the healing balm , humbly lets repent ,lets make peace from our hearts with each other and our God , and lets continue further on the road , where our Creator’s caring goodness put us ,and the reward of this already here on earth gives us a taste of the eternal joy , the Christian spiritual rejoicing!
With love,
Father Csaba

The disciples of John and of the Pharisees were accustomed to fast.
People came to Jesus and objected,
"Why do the disciples of John and the disciples of the Pharisees fast,
but your disciples do not fast?"
Jesus answered them,
"Can the wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them?
As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast.
But the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them,
and then they will fast on that day.
No one sews a piece of unshrunken cloth on an old cloak.
If he does, its fullness pulls away,
the new from the old, and the tear gets worse.
Likewise, no one pours new wine into old wineskins.
Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins,
and both the wine and the skins are ruined.
Rather, new wine is poured into fresh wineskins.”
Mark 2, 18-22
