Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel Wednesday 27 June 2018 The Feast of the king Saint László.
Pope Francis in Rome was talking about God not condemning the Jewish people who degenerated into slavery , but first saved them , then lead them out of the land of slavery , gave them the gift of freedom, life , in one word loved them and only after this did He call them to the Mount of Horeb , so He can compose His expectations and give them the ten commandments ! God is kind-hearted who even loved His children when they knew nothing about the commandments yet , when they were not worthy for attention!
Saint László received a country that was torn apart , wounded by a civil war and he started loving, serving his people , and under the rule of the holy crown the country became great , sanctified !
Is our love unconditional ? Or do I stipulate certain conditions for my kindness towards my brethren! Love is not a reward , but a medication ! We should not judge the children, our surrounding ,the world , but we should love everything and everybody ! We have to believe that our love , like the good seed falling into the ground , will bring a crop that is a hundredfold , makes our brethren free , sanctifies them!
With love,
Father Csaba
translated by dr k.e.
When the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together, and one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. "Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?" He said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbour as yourself.' On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
