Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel Wednesday 7 November 2018
" What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?” Mark 8,36
Let us consider it how much does selfishness and unselfishness effect my thoughts, my words , my decisions , my everyday deeds !! Do our own benefits , what is good for us , our goals , our imaginations can turn us away from our family , loved ones , brethren, even our own people , our Church and push us into such an immeasurable solitude that can only sweep our spirit into damnation! The road leading to hell is paved by good intentions ! The evil one wanting to destroy the pure joy of your heart , just like the good fisherman , put a valuable, interesting bait on the hook ,but he is not interested in the welfare of the fish , but what it gets out of it leads it on. !! For this reason before you make a decision flyer your plans , decisions have to be carefully checked and once you removed your selfish desires which are for your benefit , it is only then that you should make your plans be fulfilled !!
With love,
Father Csaba

Picture: At the altar at Marosfő painted by Archbishop Bálint Lajos about the “blessed of Erdély "
Now large crowds were travelling with him; and he turned and said to them, 'Whoever comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and even life itself, cannot be my disciple. Whoever does not carry the cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not first sit down and estimate the cost, to see whether he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it will begin to ridicule him, saying, "This fellow began to build and was not able to finish." Or what king, going out to wage war against another king, will not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to oppose the one who comes against him with twenty thousand? If he cannot, then, while the other is still far away, he sends a delegation and asks for the terms of peace. So therefore, none of you can become my disciple if you do not give up all your possessions.
