Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel Friday 1 November 2019 All Saints Day.
Jesus does not want to extinguish from us the yearning to be happy ,blessed . He is not saying to give up our humanity , our dreams ,our goals however shows us the way to fulfilment , the life worthy of a human being , the true happiness .
His teaching about the eight blessings is narrow path above precipices is feasible ! I imagine life, like flying ! The laws of aerodynamics do not bind us hand and foot our desires to fly but show us that way , method the way man can raise up into heaven . Yes man can fly if he builds his own “aeroplane" based on these laws . But if he departs, deviates from these laws , then he is doomed to failure .
Jesus Christ is not saying that we should not aim to become great , important , to be of service in our families, communities to become human cathedrals , but what He is saying : if you really want to be great , be a servant to all.
On the feast of All Saints Day , observing the great line of the blessed , the saints lets be filled with the hope , joy that so many achieved their goal. A multitude of men , women , children and elderly , almost out of the people from every nation of the world many managed to become blessed , saints . It is not impossible to reach happiness , the harmony in this world that would mean a peaceful, happy coexistence with God , our fellow human beings, the created world .
Beseeching the help of our Saints,

The Word of God
When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up the mountain; and after he sat down, his disciples came to him. Then he began to speak, and taught them, saying:
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
Matthew 5:1-12
