Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel Thursday 5 October 2017
Saint Francis upon hearing these words of the Gospel cries out joyfully , because he feels that he found the One who has been "In the beginning the Word already existed”, the Word of Life, Jesus of Nazareth , that is his vocation. If I they ask me what is the most important task today , my reply would be to start and try to fulfil the most holy task entrusted to us , TO PROCLAIM THE GOSPEL! If in the past 2000 years we would have taken this mission seriously there would not be wars today , humanity today could be living as children of a peaceful, large family here on earth ! Nothing is lost though, over two thousand billion Christians live on earth, everyone of us where we are lets start loving our world , do good , say positive things about each other, humbly minding our own business and you’ll see how incredibly quickly the blessed dawn will come, the wonderland, the precious Kingdom of God !
What does it actually mean to proclaim Christ’s message ?
1. There is no problem that is insoluble , that is why we should not be afraid , because even in the midst of the greatest problems , even on the Cross on Good Friday we are living in the love of the Heavenly Father ! This is a very significant message ! Of course I realise that even our Lord Jesus Christ cried at the walls of Jerusalem , on Holy Thursday sweating blood !! Christ is suffering , but does not despair, because in Him ,a man created by the Heavenly Father ,there is the undiminished trust in the triumphant way out for our beautiful world ! There is always hope , even despite our terrible suffering on account of our sins that we received justifiably , nothing is lost if we can call out to Christ in faith, following the example of the thief crucified on His right!
2. The way as the magnetic field is present everywhere , shows us the right direction and guides us onto the right way from wherever we are , Also firmly believe that the blessed presence of God’s love , presence , forcefield is within our reach everywhere ! This infinitely wise, great , kind, merciful force, like a stream hiding in our heart is present , and at anytime , for anybody when we ask for it surfaces ! Our Lord Jesus Christ not only shows us the right direction , but gives us strength, healing , wisdom as well graciously, all that we need ! We don’t live on a desert island but in a world where God is present and answers our call, opens the door wide and He always has time for us !!
3. God loves us , your satchel is full with infinite treasures , the "virus “ of love is working in you, your task is to “infect” your surrounding with your goodness, wisdom humbly ! Yes this is your calling , that having experienced God’s presence you start an unstoppable chain reaction, to free your brethren to merciful love, that they may live their lives in the freedom of a life free from sin , in the joyful freedom of their dignity as children of God !!
Lets get going as "The harvest is abundant but the labourers are few.” Luke 10,1
With love,
Father Csaba
translated by dr k.e.
Jesus appointed seventy-two other disciples
whom he sent ahead of him in pairs
to every town and place he intended to visit.
He said to them,
"The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few;
so ask the master of the harvest
to send out laborers for his harvest.
Go on your way;
behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves.
Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals;
and greet no one along the way.
Into whatever house you enter, first say,
'Peace to this household.'
If a peaceful person lives there,
your peace will rest on him;
but if not, it will return to you.
Stay in the same house and eat and drink what is offered to you,
for the laborer deserves his payment.
Do not move about from one house to another.
Whatever town you enter and they welcome you,
eat what is set before you,
cure the sick in it and say to them,
'The Kingdom of God is at hand for you.'
Whatever town you enter and they do not receive you,
go out into the streets and say,
'The dust of your town that clings to our feet,
even that we shake off against you.'
Yet know this: the Kingdom of God is at hand.
I tell you,
it will be more tolerable for Sodom on that day than for that town."
Luke 10, 1-12
