Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel…
Tuesday 2 May 2017
God loves us with an endless love, He not only came among us, as an innocent child on Christmas Eve, however even after the bloody Good Friday He still comes back with love among us , and we believe and profess with our two thousand years old Church , that He stayed in the midst of us in the most precious Holy Eucharist ! Every church is a cave in Bethlehem , every altar is a manger in Bethlehem , every holy mass is the night of Christmas !In our churches , chapels our Lord Jesus Christ is awaiting us and talking to us lovingly :
"I am the bread of life; he who comes to me shall not hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst. John 6, 35
My dear Brethren, like a child set free from a closed apartment after a long winter into the spring sunshine we are also desiring to meet with our Redeemer waiting for us in the Eucharist, Holy Communion. I believe that for all the ills of our lives, our people, not only is His presence like a remedy , a healing balm, but the Eucharist also gives us wisdom to see clearly , mountain-moving strength to the ones turning to Him. we have to do nothing else just calmly as a child at the start of the vacation lies out to sunbathe, we should sit down at the front of the altar letting the love of God fill us with gentle goodness! Lets place our trust into our Creator, as with infinite patience you put your hand out filled with delicious seeds towards a little bird , He would also like to touch your spirit with infinite gentleness ! If you let Him, He will sweep away from your life your painful shortcomings, your sins pulling you down with gentle mercy cleansing you then dressing you into precious virtues ! Get going confidently on the road of prayer , do not get flustered , eternity is ahead of you and you’ll certainly reach your goal! Slowly, step by step like a strong man is leading his beloved in a dance , your loving God will also lead you ! Trust in Him , He is great enough to bring the good work that He starts in your heart to a good finish !
With love,
Father Csaba
translated by dr k.e.
So they said to him, "Then what sign do you do, that we may see, and believe you? What work do you perform?
Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, `He gave them bread from heaven to eat.'"
Jesus then said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven; my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.
For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven, and gives life to the world."
They said to him, "Lord, give us this bread always."
Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; he who comes to me shall not hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst.
John 6, 30-35
