Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel Saturday 14 April 2018- Revolution
Herrod had Saint John the Baptist killed ! The people are thirsting for revenge , they want to elect Jesus as the new leader , but the Master orders His disciples into a boat , sends them away them dismisses the people and He retires to pray!! The lake is hit by a storm and Jesus walking on the water goes after the disciples !!
One cannot play with sin !! Jesus goes on His own way !! If He would have gone off the straight and narrow there and then, the road of the commandment of love , formulated by Himself, breaking the rule of Herod to become the political leader of the people He would have destroyed by His own hand all that , that He came for and today together with many insignificant blood-shedding revolutionaries He would be remembered in the footnote of a book of no importance !! Jesus does not leave the way of love , does not abandon the narrow , but safe path leading to life, the real, lasting victory, given by the Heavenly Father to Moses in the ten commandments !
Anybody can say anything but the accidents happening on the road are due to the violations of rules of the road !! If we would stick to the rules then all of us happily, peacefully could travel the world!!
Every problem, failure that either in my own, or else in the lives of the parents of our children I can see are due to disregarding the ten commandments!!You abandon the road of the commandments leading to happiness and either you inflict a “wound” or you “ hurt" yourself , but certainly the world will be worse off , a darker place !
You can make yourself, your surrounding , the world better, more beautiful, more habitable by following God’s commandments and love !!
This is why I share with you again the commandments leading to happiness ,

1. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
2. 'You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
3. Remember to keep holy the Lord's Day.
4. Honour your father and your mother.
5. You shall not kill.
6. You shall not commit adultery.
7. You shall not steal.
8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour.
9. You shall not covet your neighbour's wife.
10. You shall not covet your neighbour's goods.
When evening came, his disciples went down to the sea, got into a boat, and started across the sea to Capernaum. It was now dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them. The sea became rough because a strong wind was blowing. When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat, and they were terrified. But he said to them, "It is I; do not be afraid." Then they wanted to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the land toward which they were going.
