Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel Friday 22 February 2019 the Feast of the Chair of Saint Peter the Apostle
Our Lord Jesus Christ not only involves His disciples in the work but also assigns the tasks between them ! Peter: "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”Matthew 16,13
The disciples “grow up “ , become mature adults , Christians with responsibilities by the fact that Jesus not only trusts in them , but also entrusts them with the beautiful task of the further creation of the world ! The duty of the apostles and their disciples is, to teach all people, every nation till the end of times, the commandment of love ! Yes God, entrusts Saint Peter and his companions the building of the kingdom of love ! He has confidence in these people , whom He got to know 2-3 years prior , and the fruit of His trust is the Church that has been in existence for two thousand years , the many-many wonderful saints , wise teachers , close on two milliard baptised Christians who live in the world of our times , not even mentioning the countless churches, monasteries, wonderful shrines that cover the whole world ! The great , beautiful miracle of our Church's trust in God’s creations , in the people , in itself is enough to force us on our knees , to motivate us to become followers of Christ !
Lets share the tasks ! I was convinced many a times just how many wonderful young people live in the homes of the Saint Francis Foundation! Now I am asking them that they organise themselves the Youth Meeting of Székelyhíd between 28-30 June 2019 ! We’ll support them all the way , but the planning, organisation , execution of the event is the task of the young people growing up in our homes !
Lets dare to involve people in our work , lets dare to share our tasks , lets dare to pass on our functions to the young people growing up around us !
With love,
Father Csaba

The Word of God
Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" And they said, "Some say John the Baptist, but others Elijah, and still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets." He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God." And Jesus answered him, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
Matthew 16:13-19
