Even from the distance of 2000 years one reads with dismay Jesus’ words. It is hard to understand how can the evil spirit be in possession of such power ? How is it capable to mix up the good with evil in so many peoples' heads ? Having been in Iraq, Syria I saw that murder , wars in many people’s mind are the only plausible way , and the people fighting against each other , that they can only love their country , people in reality if they exterminate the others without mercy , and even destroy their last remains from this Earth. Unfortunately one does not have to travel to the Middle East because even here in the Carpathian basin often in our immediate vicinity the murderous disease is raging. Everyday people, with good intentions forgetting about themselves , each other often for a mere trifling thing start to criticise , condemn , hate each other . Having visited prisons I have often met with murderers , having heard the confession of many . Most of them after the event cannot comprehend themselves what could have clouded their minds to such an extent as to assault others’ lives. Sitting in St Peter Square in Rome I was observing the loud, nice Italian students and I was thinking what could have caused in the battle for Doberdó the Austro-Hungarian and the Italian states , in the area of Slovenia to massacre over a few years more than one and half million soldiers . Two Catholic countries , on both sides army bishops , chaplains asking for God’s blessing on the weapons sending the people to a hero ’s death. I don’t think that my , our duty is to condemn people infected by the virus of pestilence , leprosy , the Spanish flu , but to protect ourselves, our loved ones from this murderous disease. The same way I believe that we do not have to condemn a person sunk in the hell of hatred , but with mercy and love heal our brethren , and to everything , that this infectious disease does not take hold of us, our society. Jesus Christ’s warning is for all of us :” Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” Peter1, 5-8 Unfortunately the evil spirit is powerful enough to infect either me or you as well ,our whole society , the man of the twenty first century rightly proud of his achievements . "continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, “ St Paul Philippians 2, 12-30- says Jesus Christ . We have to watch ourselves with criticism , and do not let into our minds the burning “amber” of anger, hatred , the unforgiving temper that should be extinguished immediately ! I am not saying that we should not stand by the truth “mollycoddled" , but lets not get deterred from the way of Jesus. Our Master always stood by the truth. In His mouth yes was yes, no was no, and even accepted the death on the cross for the truth for which the Heavenly Father sent Him into this world. On the one hand Jesus forbid violence to Saint Peter who drew out his sword , on the other hand He encourages all of us to active love in line with the truth. Lets learn from the doctors , who calmly without loosing their temper , weighing up the pros and cons calmly undertake the surgery in the interest of the patient . We are also facing the tensions born out of injustice , lets weigh up the situation wisely following the example of the doctors serving life , with a cool head lets make that decision that will serve the interest of all of us. During my duty among families in trouble : I experienced that just like in mathematics , in life also there are the good solutions . There are answers to all ills that can be beneficial for all . For us in our own microcosmos , in the lives of our brethren around us , but in lives of the big families of mankind we also have to look for and find these “good solutions”.

Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel 6 May 2018 6th Sunday of Easter
"As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you” John 15, 9
These lines are wonderful. God invites us into the inner life of the Holy Trinity. He would like to share with us that homely, joyful relation that ties the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. God does not need day-labourers , servants . He is not thirsting for our work, our efforts but for our love.
The final destination for a Christian is the Kingdom of Heaven. Not the knowledge of some secret teaching , not even the possession of a supernatural force, power , but a living, personal, loving relationship with the Holy Trinity . A Christian is not searching for something but Someone . They do not want to get somewhere , but they want to meet with Someone . They do not want to posses , but to become one with the God of love. This is why it is very important , that our spiritual life, our prayer life becomes a living encounter.
In our human insignificance , fallibility , our being born out of a handful of dust can make us humble, modest , but not apathetic , nor of little faith . Looking within myself I often posed the question that does God have such a bad taste that He even starts a dialogue with an ordinary man like myself . But when temptation wrings my heart then I always think who am I to confine the limits, boundaries ? If He puts His hand out towards me with trust , then my duty is not to hide bashfully but that I grab that friendly, blessing hand and never let it go.

I do not believe that Pope Francis would be scaring us unfoundedly with the third world war !! Eversince I have been to Syria I have been praying in any case continuously for peace ! I ask from God now as well the blessed peace for Syria , and the whole world !! Today there is peace, everything else can be ours , but if there is no peace, then everything is lost !!

Wisdom is God’s beautiful virtue ! According to a Hungarian comedian. Hofi Géza, God distributed wisdom the most justly in this world , because most people seem satisfied with the amount of “wisdom” they’ve received , and instead of wanting to increase that, they feel because they got more than the others many times-often unasked for-they are “giving free advice" to everybody !!
Here and now I quieten down and very humbly I encourage myself as well, but all of us to look at our decisions at length , our everyday lives , and lets have a think about ,how much do I usually ponder before making a decision and how much do I weigh up the situation ! Does wisdom play a part in my life or only my desires, feelings, my mood or the “ follow the crowd” mentality , others’ decisions make up my mind ?! Do I increase my wisdom by reading, learning do I think things over , do I reflect upon things to increase my wisdom !?Do I have true, wise friends whom I can look up to, and with ones that I can debate my views of the world , my plans, my fears ?
The great masters of conscience say that whoever is their own spiritual advisor , that person is lead by a “crackpot”!! It is important that I have the courage either literally or just symbolically get down on my knees in front of a person to have a spiritual conversation, but if need be in a reconciliation to explore my doubts , worries , my struggles , my sins and humbly ask for advice, consolation, forgiveness , in short light, wisdom from a man more experienced , better trained than myself , “smarter” brother who is nearer to God !
We are preparing for Pentecost lets ask the Holy Spirit with humility, prayerful love , to fill ,enlighten my understanding , my life with the beautiful splendid gift of wisdom !!

"Jesus said,' They who have my commandments and keep them are those who love me; and those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them.” John 14, 21
It is infinitely simple! Keep the commandments , and when God sees it fit will address you ! Neither books nor other people will reveal to you God’s secrets but He himself personally ! Of course if you are wise enough then , humbly you can learn from everybody who walked ahead of you genuinely , the great saints, the mystics lives, teachings will fill you with courage , security on your way , but you have to walk your own way at some length! Be not afraid but God is so great , that you are not going to err , if you open up your heart to Him, it is certain that you will meet !
When? Neither the day nor the hour are important , one thing is certain that your Redeemer will come and you, like the lover desiring His love and in the meantime smarten yourself with the beautiful flowers of virtue !Love everything and everybody , be good, filled with goodness , merciful and devout, look for the flowers of wisdom .Things are closely connected , and quite certainly the eternal truths are sitting at the one table, living in unity , harmony and you can get a glimpse at them , they would like to be yours !
Produce flowers for your loved one , create , bring forth the beautiful works of merciful love so that they will shine for all like a precious gift ! May the fruit of your labour be useful , as the nicely carved stones for the kingdom of God being built , let them advance your companions’ endeavours! In baptism you became the great God’s child, you are a prince or the Creator’s prince, following the example of Christ , by washing your brethren’s feet , use your power : create , make an impact , multiply your people !
God , the holy truth , the wise beauty , again and again will reveal one ore more of His secrets ! In the meantime you progress , you are at great fields, you are surrounded by the magnificence, you can rest, but you have to know this is not reaching your goal , as you cannot wander about the Infinity , but trustingly move on ! What is outside is the fruit of your sweaty labour , peoples’ friendship, the many pure joys of life, they all precious gifts, accept them , delight in them and kind heartedly pass them on ! If you are honest with yourself you will see , you have no desire for the gifts, but for the Giver , you are not searching for health, but the Healer , because it is not the knowledge that makes you happy , but the Master, the Teacher ! You have to know that the Giver, the Healer , the Teacher is living within you , and when His Holy Majesty will see it fit , He will reveal Himself to you.
Trust in your Lord God, He lead you from nothing to here, and is going to lead you further , will hold your hand !

Jesus is not saying less then that He is the living God who called Abraham, Moses, the patriarchs and the prophets , He himself is the living , great Lord of the Old Testament ! Our Creator became flesh , came among us , and now no longer as a child , but as a grown man looks us in the eye and speaks to us : "Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; but if you do not, then believe me because of the works themselves. Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father. I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If in my name you ask me for anything, I will do it."John 14: 7-14
Humbly on my knees I profess my faith : Jesus Christ , I believe and profess that You are my Creator God, one in being with our Heavenly Father , true God and true man ! You are our Redeemer, our Teacher, our Physician ! In Your name we are able to stop the evil one with a murderous intent within us and around us , and build Your Kingdom based on love, mercy , wisdom, goodness , beauty !! I believe that You yourself are the living Love, and that is why coming from the land of the third world war I still believe in the final victory of love !!

We arrived safely in Beirut , the capital of Lebanon ! This town is very close to Jerusalem where Jesus Christ washed His disciples’ feet, but because of the war nowadays there is no passable road! I am sitting in my room thinking on the word’s of my Master in today’s gospel !" Very truly, I tell you, whoever receives one whom I send receives me; and whoever receives me receives him who sent me.” Christ’s teaching is so simple and yet people are still killing one another !?
Lebanon is approximately, 1/9th the size of Hungary , many , merciless wars raged in this land over the past decades !! Today thank God there is peace !! Walking in the city one can see in many places how the peaceful Lebanon is rising from the ruins , the Switzerland of the east ! I am looking behind the rubble at the brand-new tower blocks , the hurrying , well-dressed business men and my heart is filled with hope! I trust that if in 10-15 years time , my good luck takes me to Syria again , by then Damascus, Homs , Aleppo will also welcome me so nicely rebuilt !! For this to happen all of us have to pray a lot, work, putting the arms down , everybody has to sit at the one table ! But most of all we should let that our Lord Jesus Christ washes our feet !

There are few things that Jesus speaks of so unambiguously , firmly as about the Holy Eucharist ! It is very obvious that for Him, so that He can be with us continuously, to be among us with His divine presence , with His serving love He can move with His children walking on their earthly pilgrimage , is more important than anything else ! The Christian mystic is not endeavouring for sanctity of life, not for enlightenment , not for some exalted spiritual state , but to a personal relationship with the living God . Jesus is the way, the truth , and the life without Him we will get lost , without His sacred presence we will finish up like the branches cut off the vine , we will dry up ! Christianity is not about self-redemption , with prayers , fasting , ascetic deeds one cannot reach one's goal! There is no kingdom of heaven reserved for one person! That Christian who does not join Jesus Christ’s life-giving community , is like a mobile without a connection with a personal “reception” , no matter how nice and how valuable, magnificent it is , it is a useless paperweight ! On this beautiful spring day lets think about how living is my relation with the personal God ? Beyond , the everyday prayers ,through the sacraments do I live the communion with Jesus Christ , that community from which not only my eternal life , but my earthly life, success is also dependent on !?

For living faith, just as for one’s existence one has to strive for !! For our weaknesses, setbacks always someone else is at fault : our parents, the teachers, the priests ,the mayor , the government , and if there is nothing else then the “circumstances”! There is always a scapegoat , we can explain everything ,but we are never responsible for our own destiny ! What sort of car is the one that only starts at 10 degrees but not at minus 25 degrees or plus 25 degrees ? A motor like this is unwanted !!
The plants, the animals are fighting for their own existence , it is man who leans back to be served in Mother’s Hotel ! You expect the school to solve everything for you , call in a psychologist , a speech therapist , a developmental pedagogue , everybody and you just lean back and let yourself to be carried around like a sack of potatoes! Even many of the adults do that ! I often see in amazement how many demonstrations, protests there are ! Always someone else is at fault !!! It is your duty you have to do it ! The sun is blazing or the wind is gusting , set the standard high and face the unknown ! Fight , it is possible that you may fail, but the coward, , protesting , whinging man will never become a champion ! You were born to fight , not to avoid the difficulties but to conquer them , because that will make a man out of you, it will harden your muscles , strengthen your willpower !
Unfortunately as far as faith is concerned as well there is a lot of whinging, , great indifference ! It is certain that everything is grace , but if you do not pick up the Holy Scriptures , if at least on Sundays you do not attend church, if you never kneel down in front of your God, so you can pray over with Him your everyday problems , if you do not receive the life-giving sacraments then don’t be surprised if your spirit becomes dried up and changes into a desert ! Unfortunately a prophet even today has no honour , just as in the times of Jesus in His own birthplace, He could not perform a miracle then and not even today as the Holy Scripture says - "He was amazed at their lack of faith.” Mark 6,6
If the blessed Virgin in Bethlehem would have been catered for in a guesthouse with running cold and hot water , if at least the Archangel Gabriel would have led them to Egypt , or Divine Providence would have paid child support for the Child to solve all their problems certainly their lives would have been much easier , but I think that Mary would have never become the Queen of Heaven ! Brooding over problems trying to find solutions , striving, struggles lift you up make you great , worthy of the company of the saints!
Avoiding the difficulties , struggles , looking for and finding the reasons for your own idleness, then not only here in this world you are a pitiful weakling , even if it is not your eternal life that is in danger as the Holy Scripture says :"So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth” Book of Revelations 3,15
Your are responsible for your own faith , life take your destiny into your hand ,

'I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.’ John 6,35
It cannot be accomplished alone ! Our Mother the Church , for the last two thousand years , based on Jesus’ teaching believes and has been professing , that during the holy mass on the one hand in the presence of the bread and vine the same Jesus comes amongst us , who became incarnate on the night of Christmas , on the other hand we believe and profess that during holy mass in a bloodless way the one and only sacrifice of the cross becomes present ! The holy secret of Christmas and Easter becomes a reality during every sacrifice of the mass , and not only a devout remembrance , but a great mystery , for the believers a living reality , a realistic meeting with God in person! I believe and profess that in the presence of the Holy Eucharist man finds himself in such living , personal forcefield , where it is much easier , simpler to be good, to do good , to live in love ! During my childhood I was scared of the dark, but if my mother held my hand then I dared to go anywhere ! Now as an adult the same childish fear , anxiety can also reoccur in a difficult decision , but the holy communion, the presence of the sacrament permeates me , gives me strength and if I can feel the presence of the Infinity beside me , then I am not only filled by courage, trust , strength, but within my spirit every grace starts to grow, burst into flower and my heart is filled with joy and peace!
I would like to take my dear brethren ,as one thirsting to a crystal clear spring, to a sacrifice of the holy mass . I encourage everybody with the love of a lesser brother , to get ready for the first holy communion of their lives if they have not done so, so far , and to go regularly to the food of the journey of the Wandering Church , the blessed Eucharist !

I admire God’s humility , I admire that from that infinite height He is capable of coming among us , with goodness , patience to teach us . One is not sullied by what comes from the outside by what springs from within us . The pompous arrogance, selfishness, indolence, fornication, gluttony and every other sin springs from our hearts. A man, a family , even a triumphant party can be slandered, dragged through the mud but to defile ,break up a man , a community can only be done from the inside . It does not matter if somebody is right , but if they are conceited, arrogant , greedy they are no longer right , they no longer can count on the recognition ,respect due to the just ones. It would have been very strange if on the dawn of Easter Jesus would have appeared with a avenging grin to Pilate or Herod and wallowing in triumph He would have humiliated these unfortunate sinners. Jesus’ greatness is that He triumphs by not conquering anybody , He even opens wide the door of eternal life for conversion , starting anew .Jesus Christ did not conquer either Herod, or Pilate , but not even the Jews shouting “crucify Him” , but the spirit of anger, hate, despair, hopelessness , vengeance , the evil one wanting to triumph in all of us . Even in the extreme circumstances of Holy Thursday, Good Friday Jesus persevered , remained on the road of merciful love .
If He would not have done this , then even though He would have risen from the dead triumphantly, arrogantly conquering His enemies I would not have become a Catholic priest, a friar , raising high the cross of Christ .
Let us pray that in the smaller, or bigger battles of our lives but even in elections determining the future , the parties should not be wanting to conquer each other , but embarking on the way of love , joining forces trying to build the world further . What have you got that you did not get ? And if God gave you the victory why would you be arrogant, conceited , self-important ? God’s mercy could have decided and tomorrow may decide differently as well. By repentance lets do everything to conquer the evil within us , that God’s beautiful creation, may not be destroyed by the murderous sin wanting to surface from within us .

They also saw that Jesus had not got into the boat with his disciples, but that his disciples had gone away alone. Then some boats from Tiberias came near the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks. So when the crowd saw that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they themselves got into the boats and went to Capernaum looking for Jesus.When they found him on the other side of the lake, they said to him, 'Rabbi, when did you come here?' Jesus answered them, 'Very truly, I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate your fill of the loaves.
