Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel 7th April 2019 5th Sunday of Lent
'Neither do I condemn you. Go your way, and from now on do not sin again.’ John 8, 11
Lent is the time of repentance, becoming reconciled, forgiveness ! Back in my days in the seminary in Gyulafehérvár I realised that anger , sin, and the worshiping love of God cannot all fit into one’s heart at the same time ! During our autumn work I was protecting my true or imaginary truth , I had a falling out with one of my companions. Then and there my being right overwrote the main commandment , the commandment of love ! At the end of the work we gathered for evening prayer in the chapel. I tried to lift my soul to my creator God , but had the feeling , that my prayer had no wings to soar , I was only stumbling along in the swamp of my tormented temper . My companion sat at the desk in front of me , I poked him , he turned around , I smiled at him and asked him to forgive me , lets not let the sun set over our anger ! He smiled back at me , signalled and both of us continued with the psalms ! The key turned the door opened up , the sun started shining in my heart , and at once I could “taste” the words of the prayer offered to God !
Lets dare to ask for pardon, kindheartedly forgive, forget about other’s debts , even at times when we are annoyed ,angry with someone and measuring on a human scale they do not deserve , perhaps they won’t even thank us for our goodness ! Our personal, living relation with God is worth more than anything else ! Lets believe in the final victory of love , the healing , life-giving great power and lets forgive each other from the bottom of our hearts !
With love,

The Word of God
Early in the morning he came again to the temple. All the people came to him and he sat down and began to teach them. The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery; and making her stand before all of them, they said to him, 'Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of committing adultery. Now in the law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?' They said this to test him, so that they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, 'Let anyone among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.' And once again he bent down and wrote on the ground. When they heard it, they went away, one by one, beginning with the elders; and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him. Jesus straightened up and said to her, 'Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?' She said, 'No one, sir.' And Jesus said, 'Neither do I condemn you. Go your way, and from now on do not sin again.'

Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel Saturday 6 April 2019
Jesus is not crying in vain over Jerusalem, because this town had its days numbered , and yet how shortsighted are the people living here !? Their city is on the brink of destruction , the life-saving remedy in their hand and they do not grab Jesus’ blessing hand , Jesus’ outstretched right hand , but they are pondering over how they could destroy the Redeemer !?
This blindness is frightening ! Love, dialogue , reconciliation lead to life , turning away from each other , silent sulking , anger are the carriers of destruction !! They decided two thousand years ago , the big question is : how do you decide ??
In the holy time of Lent lets dare , want to search for Christ’s company , bathe my spirit in His blessed presence ! Following the example of my Master lets decide by dialogue , love, the Life incarnate .

The Word of God
When they heard these words, some in the crowd said, ‘This is really the prophet.’ Others said, ‘This is the Messiah.’ But some asked, ‘Surely the Messiah does not come from Galilee, does he? Has not the scripture said that the Messiah is descended from David and comes from Bethlehem, the village where David lived?’ So there was a division in the crowd because of him. Some of them wanted to arrest him, but no one laid hands on him.
Then the temple police went back to the chief priests and Pharisees, who asked them, ‘Why did you not arrest him?’ The police answered, ‘Never has anyone spoken like this!’ Then the Pharisees replied, ‘Surely you have not been deceived too, have you? Has any one of the authorities or of the Pharisees believed in him? But this crowd, which does not know the law—they are accursed.’ Nicodemus, who had gone to Jesus before, and who was one of them, asked, ‘Our law does not judge people without first giving them a hearing to find out what they are doing, does it?’ They replied, ‘Surely you are not also from Galilee, are you? Search and you will see that no prophet is to arise from Galilee.’ Then each of them went home.

Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel Friday 5 April 2019.
We were invited to a family , I also had a couple of my teenager sons with me as well, who were like an energy bomb walking on two feet . Our hosts had a nice parrot called Pityu!! Of course the boys straight away picked out the nice birds and started to surround it . I was amazed to see that infinite calmness, careful touch , as my normally boisterous sons , sweeping away everything , slowed down and hold back their normally typhoon like whirling force and with infinite patience were approaching the little bird !! In the meantime I started talking with our host ! In a little while , perhaps my most boisterous son , to the amazement of our hosts joined us, with ethereal ease, with the bird perching on his finger !! Love , gentle goodness , a patient, calm approach builds bridges between worlds , created trust , friendship !!
My son instinctively stepped on the way of Christ , who even though is the great creator God of the world , still on the night of Christmas came amongst us as an unprotected small Child !! The burning love towards us made Jesus Christ small, weak, vulnerable and not only on the night of Christmas but forever ! Our only hope God’s tenderness , the infinite love , that made the great, powerful God , to become an unprotected Child nestling up to us !! Power in being powerless, greatness in the unprotected smallness !! Wonderful !!
The gentle patience of our Master as He is approaching us , we should not only admire , but we should also become kind-hearted lesser brothers of each other ! We should not be living in our own enclosed world whilst judging each other , causing wounds , but approach our brother with this patient, gentleness of Christ , lets try to bring out from each other the good , the saint . Love gives birth to love and brings to the surface such values from within us , who love and from our companions whom we also love , that we would have never dreamt of ! Love leads us into the land of miracles , to such a way of producing happiness that leads into the Kingdom of Heaven !! Love is the only force that can open a new era not only in the life of mankind but also in my everyday as well !! I told my children many times that the love of Christ is a real magic wand , that if we take it into our hand following the example of our Master , and we use it with His kind-hearted spirituality by which He became small, then we can create miracles in our own lives as well !! Lets set out on the way of love , lets take into our hand the most exciting God-given magic wand .

After this Jesus went about in Galilee. He did not wish to go about in Judea because the Jews were looking for an opportunity to kill him. Now the Jewish festival of Booths was near.
But after his brothers had gone to the festival, then he also went, not publicly but as it were in secret.
Now some of the people of Jerusalem were saying, 'Is not this the man whom they are trying to kill? And here he is, speaking openly, but they say nothing to him! Can it be that the authorities really know that this is the Messiah? Yet we know where this man is from; but when the Messiah comes, no one will know where he is from.' Then Jesus cried out as he was teaching in the temple, 'You know me, and you know where I am from. I have not come on my own. But the one who sent me is true, and you do not know him. I know him, because I am from him, and he sent me.' Then they tried to arrest him, but no one laid hands on him, because his hour had not yet come.

Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel Thursday 4 April 2019
"But I know that you do not have the love of God in you. "John 5, 46
Harsh talk! But before we start arguing with Jesus let's think how seriously do I take the first of the ten commandments :-“'You must worship the LORD your God and serve only him.’” !? How much would I give myself on a scale of one out of ten on my love of God ?! And here I am not thinking on the quantity of prayers that I have said , but not even on the distribution of gifts since Saint Paul wrote it beautifully in the Ode to Love :13 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, I gain nothing.” Corinthians 13, 1-3
How much do I love my Lord , my God !? How much do I seek His opinion in the way I lead my life , in my decisions, do I let Him to take my hand and lead me lovingly ? Do I dare to step on on roads with Him, next to Him that are narrow , steep, frightening ? Perhaps the most important question is : whom do I expect my happiness from , the giver of gifts or His gifts !? Everything and everyone is God’s precious gift one could say that our loving God’s wedding band , but whom do we love with burning love the ring or our betrothed who offers us everything ?
Recently I spoke with a woman who wants to leave her husband, job, homeland , everything ! She asked for my opinion, I encouraged her to faithfulness , perseverance and she took my hand and asked desperately hasn’t she got any right for happiness ? A very big question ! What is it that can make us happy ? An exciting journey, nice food , a big house , a new person offering a lot , built on the ruins of a family that took years to build ?
I am sitting in front of my creator God ! I feel very certainly my Lord that You are the happiness Yourself ! See, I have not even set out and I reached my goal ! I conquered without action ! The water bursts to the surface so that my life beside You will be a well with a spring and not a cesspit ! I am not asking however I am giving , I am not desiring happiness anymore , Would like to give, to share that light , magnificence that made me joyful! You can share the great God’s treasury !

The Word of God
‘If I testify about myself, my testimony is not true. There is another who testifies on my behalf, and I know that his testimony to me is true. You sent messengers to John, and he testified to the truth. Not that I accept such human testimony, but I say these things so that you may be saved. He was a burning and shining lamp, and you were willing to rejoice for a while in his light. But I have a testimony greater than John’s. The works that the Father has given me to complete, the very works that I am doing, testify on my behalf that the Father has sent me. And the Father who sent me has himself testified on my behalf. You have never heard his voice or seen his form, and you do not have his word abiding in you, because you do not believe him whom he has sent.
‘You search the scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that testify on my behalf. Yet you refuse to come to me to have life. I do not accept glory from human beings. But I know that you do not have the love of God in you. I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me; if another comes in his own name, you will accept him. How can you believe when you accept glory from one another and do not seek the glory that comes from the one who alone is God? Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; your accuser is Moses, on whom you have set your hope. If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me. But if you do not believe what he wrote, how will you believe what I say?’
John 5:31-47
Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel Tuesday 2 April 2019.
The man of our days is afraid of illness, becoming overweight !! From not being aesthetically attractive in his own nor in the eyes of others , but unfortunately he is not afraid if sins disfigures his face, character ! Even though sins are what wound us most deeply .
To get off the way of sin consists of two steps : on the one hand lets turn our faces , attention away from those momentary “delights “ that pull us down, sully us , at the same time lets turn our faces towards the light , towards the real, lasting treasures. Everyone wants to be happy but a Christian knows that sin cannot give us real, longterm happiness . This is why it is important after the denial of sins to look for the will of God and to do that . Lets think of Saint Francis he hears the question : “Whom do you want to serve the Lord or a servant ?” God puts this question to all of us especially in the holy time of Lent : Whom do I really want to serve ? Do I want to serve my bodily desires , my vain, greedy instincts , my lying fears or would I like to become a co-worker of the God of love ? Saint Francis put down his arms , gave his saddle-horse and set out on foot to serve God.
Repentance, conversion of Lent is not complete if only I turn away from my sins . If I become quietened down -that may take a while -it is quite certain that God talking to me through my conscience will show me the road to true happiness . “Go , build my church- said Jesus Christ on the cross of San Damiano to Francis, and he , just as mary said “yes” to the request of God :" let it be to me according to your word.” Saint Francis’ road was not easy , simple , yet he sets out and even during his lifetime the world regards him not only blessed , but one of the greatest saints of the Church.
Lets turn away from our sins and pass over the key of our life with trust to our creator God . Despite all our weaknesses , unimportance He’ll lead us , will reorganise our lives , they will be things that He will take out and place such treasures into our lives that we were unaware of . The alkaline soil will turn into a garden of flowers , the pruned tree will be laden with abundant fruit !
With trust in God who offers us a chance to start again , working up to the present day ,

After this there was a festival of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
Now in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate there is a pool, called in Hebrew Beth-zatha, which has five porticoes. In these lay many invalids—blind, lame, and paralysed. One man was there who had been ill for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had been there a long time, he said to him, ‘Do you want to be made well?’ The sick man answered him, ‘Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; and while I am making my way, someone else steps down ahead of me.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Stand up, take your mat and walk.’ At once the man was made well, and he took up his mat and began to walk.
Now that day was a sabbath. So the Jews said to the man who had been cured, ‘It is the sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your mat.’ But he answered them, ‘The man who made me well said to me, “Take up your mat and walk.” ’ They asked him, ‘Who is the man who said to you, “Take it up and walk”?’ Now the man who had been healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had disappeared in the crowd that was there. Later Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, ‘See, you have been made well! Do not sin any more, so that nothing worse happens to you.’ The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well. Therefore the Jews started persecuting Jesus, because he was doing such things on the sabbath.

Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel Fourth Sunday of Lent 31 March 2019
Today’s passage of the gospel is about two young men, but which one could be our role model ?? The idle sinful one who gets into bed with everyone , but cannot love sincerely anybody or the stale , pharisee like elder brother who is incapable to love his brother but mechanically keeps the commandments ? The one squandering all, or the sour puss who cannot be happy with anything ?For me neither of these young man’s way is the right one ! But how great it is that there is a third way !
In the Holy Scriptures there is a third son as well , the most beautiful gift of the Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ : 6 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3,16. I would like to place this Son , Jesus Christ as a role model in front of us !! During the coming nine weeks , till the Day of the Child , till we are waiting for the visit of Pope Francis to Csíksomlyó , during the time of preparation may our Master , Teacher be the Christ Child !

The Word of God
Now all the tax-collectors and sinners were coming near to listen to him. And the Pharisees and the scribes were grumbling and saying, ‘This fellow welcomes sinners and eats with them.’ So he told them this parable:
‘There was a man who had two sons. The younger of them said to his father, “Father, give me the share of the property that will belong to me.” So he divided his property between them. A few days later the younger son gathered all he had and travelled to a distant country, and there he squandered his property in dissolute living. When he had spent everything, a severe famine took place throughout that country, and he began to be in need. But when he came to himself he said, “How many of my father’s hired hands have bread enough and to spare, but here I am dying of hunger! I will get up and go to my father, and I will say to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son; treat me like one of your hired hands.’ ” So he set off and went to his father. But while he was still far off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion; he ran and put his arms around him and kissed him. Then the son said to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.” But the father said to his slaves, “Quickly, bring out a robe—the best one—and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. And get the fatted calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate; for this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found!” And they began to celebrate.
‘Now his elder son was in the field; and when he came and approached the house, he heard music and dancing. He called one of the slaves and asked what was going on. He replied, “Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fatted calf, because he has got him back safe and sound.” Then he became angry and refused to go in. His father came out and began to plead with him. Then the father said to him, “Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. But we had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and has come to life; he was lost and has been found.” ’

Jesus Christ , our Redeemer came among us, because He wants us to live here in this world freely , joyfully a fertile life in our dignity as children of God! Christ did not come among us to sulk, to condemn , to be shocked seeing our human fallibilities , just us the physician seeing the wounds of sick person , does not turn away from us with aversion , disgust ! Our Redeemer knows what dwells in the “sons of men “ , He knows that frail , fallible a man born from a fistful of dust is ! He also knows how easily we get off the way of love , goodness and having fallen low how much pain we cause ourselves and each other , this is also why He came among us , for this He also accepted for us on Good Friday death on the cross !
It is Lent , time of reconciliation, repentance ! Lets not cherish my frailties, fallibilities , sin , but I should sweep the out in the big spring clean ! Lets not suffer from our throbbing , aching sins , but may our hearts be filled with trust towards Jesus Christ , who in His first public speech for the people of all times proclaimed the forgiveness eternal expiation :"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, [19] To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”
In the quietness of Lent , in searching for the freedom of the spirit reborn in repentance I am going to my Redeeming Christ ! You should come as well !

Now he was casting out a demon that was mute; when the demon had gone out, the one who had been mute spoke, and the crowds were amazed. But some of them said, "He casts out demons by Beelzebul, the ruler of the demons." Others, to test him, kept demanding from him a sign from heaven. But he knew what they were thinking and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself becomes a desert, and house falls on house. If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? for you say that I cast out the demons by Beelzebul. Now if I cast out the demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your exorcists cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges. But if it is by the finger of God that I cast out the demons, then the kingdom of God has come to you. When a strong man, fully armed, guards his castle, his property is safe. But when one stronger than he attacks him and overpowers him, he takes away his armour in which he trusted and divides his plunder. Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

Thank be to God I also finished my book relating to the 15 courtyards of the garden of Mary . I would like to share with you with love the material regarding the first courtyard with love…
In Csíksomlyó we have been building a garden suitable to quieten down , for contemplation , where Jesus’ mother, Mary would have 15 courtyard where pilgrims could could stop , sit down , where they could reflect a on part of their own lives that influenced it : eg in the first courtyard: What does it mean for me a meeting, my relation with my brothers, a dialogue ….How Mary spoke with the angel of God…., would not I also be more successful if I would walk on the path of Mary? If I would say yes to the call of God ?!
I would like to publish these reflection in the form of a book ….of course , photos are needed now ..Unfortunately the stone slabs ordered years ago take a very long time to be ready , even though I was intending to share the photos of them for the reflections ….
From Mary’s “yes” on this beautiful day celebrated today not only the Redeemer of the world Jesus Christ , but also our faith and hope in a better world !!

The Word of God
In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. And he came to her and said, ‘Greetings, favoured one! The Lord is with you.’ But she was much perplexed by his words and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. The angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favour with God. And now, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his ancestor David. He will reign over the house of Jacob for ever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.’ Mary said to the angel, ‘How can this be, since I am a virgin?’ The angel said to her, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be holy; he will be called Son of God. And now, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son; and this is the sixth month for her who was said to be barren. For nothing will be impossible with God.’ Then Mary said, ‘Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.’ Then the angel departed from her.

Reflection: Mary , a young virgin aged between 16-17 year old, doing her housework , perhaps even humming a nice psalm from the Old Testament , when the angel of the Lord Gabriel appears . I am surprised with how great a respect, love this spiritual being is greeting the young, peasant girl . Their dialogue that changes the course of history of the world is short, frank , to the point . Mary sincerely raises her doubts , the angel explains , reasons with gentle goodness and the decision is made : Mary says “yes”for a lifetime to God’s will , accepts the Christ Child . In this courtyard lets reflect about the meetings at the turning points of our lives . God’s angel looks for, addresses Mary . The dialogue is short, respectful and successful . Upon the request of the angel Mary decides . Do I believe in the meeting , in the dialogue, in the force of the spoken word ? How open am I regarding those who come face to face with me and put their request into words ? Do I listen with trust to those who speak to me ? If I don’t understand something , patiently do I ask for explanations , do I dare to make decision in the light of the truths that I got to know ? Mary made Her decision after Her meeting with the archangel Gabriel , Her decision changed not only Her life but the lives of all of us .

Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel Friday 22 March 2019
"the kingdom of God will be …. given to a people that produces the fruits of the kingdom.” Mt 21, 45
The main aim of the man of our days is to have everything for their comfort , to avoid conflicts , difficulties in short to have a good time .
Jesus Christ in today’s gospel is talking about fruit crop. For Him it is not important how the tenants of the vineyard are feeling, what sort of clothes they wear of what they think of one another , but whether their lives , work produces fruit ? Reading Jesus’ words I should think about what did I learn , what useful work did I do in school, in my workplace ? Did I become a little bit the wiser , cleverer , has the world become better, nicer though my work ?!Did I manage to produce a couple of fruits of mercy for my brothers ?
Time can easily be spent by having a good time , spend days, weeks , years by doing nothing . We court, flirt , we come and go, trying to seem important , but how much useful work did I actually do ?? Our own sustenance is very important , but that in itself is not enough by a long chalk , the question is what did I do for the people living around me in the past weeks , month ? On the soccer field at the of the match they are not looking how much running has one done, or how they felt, or how their jersey looked but how many goals did they score ? You can plan, dream for years but the big question is out of dreams, plans on what you worked on how much has actually become a reality ?
Jesus Christ says ” I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won’t spoil ! “ If this would be my hour of death what could I show , as “ripe, tasty fruit “ to my loving creator God ?
With love,

The Word of God
Jesus said: "Listen to another parable. There was a landowner who planted a vineyard, put a fence around it, dug a wine press in it, and built a watchtower. Then he leased it to tenants and went to another country. When the harvest time had come, he sent his slaves to the tenants to collect his produce. But the tenants seized his slaves and beat one, killed another, and stoned another. Again he sent other slaves, more than the first; and they treated them in the same way. Finally he sent his son to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.' But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, 'This is the heir; come, let us kill him and get his inheritance." So they seized him, threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him. Now when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?" They said to him, "He will put those wretches to a miserable death, and lease the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the produce at the harvest time." Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the scriptures: 'The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord's doing, and it is amazing in our eyes'? Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people that produces the fruits of the kingdom. When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they realized that he was speaking about them. They wanted to arrest him, but they feared the crowds, because they regarded him as a prophet."

Upon returning from Africa I find the story of the rich man and the poor Lazarus very upsetting ! Perhaps all of us here in Europe , independent from how we live aren’t we all rich man , dressed in purple and white linen ? One reads that we here in the Carpathian-basin have a higher standard of living than 95 % of the world’s population , but this does not really mean much until we see it with our own eyes , that there are regions , parts of countries , in towns with inhabitants numbering in several millions where there is no electricity , drinking water , rubbish/ waste collection, even hardly any schools or hospitals …
All this instead of vehement judgement bids me to be silent ,the fact that these people living in poverty , under very basic conditions are happy, joyous , free from all that junk that we here in Europe wear, drag around with us ! With the holy gospel in my hand I am sitting and reflecting ! Not only do I think with respect humility of the Lazarus-s of the XXIst century , but I am also thinking how one could free the nations sumptuously feasting everyday , the nations from the sins of avarice that atrophy body and soul?
Naturally we also have to think about how poor we were in the years 1989-90 , how simple, how much we have collected, gathered since then , but are we happier , calmer ?Back then there were no proper stools , for this reason teaching went on morning and afternoon , nowadays there are a great number of nicely furbished , well equipped schools, but here and there as well the number of children are diminishing , educational centres are being closed ! Before 1990 close to 400 thousand children were born in Romania yearly , today based on the "massaged “ figures of statistics 170-180 thousand children are born !For the prosperity we gave away our children, our homeland but we even give away our elders , the safety, cleanliness of our environment, we are sacrificing everything lead by our immeasurable greed!? Unfortunately we don’t have to wait till eternal life for the judgement of greed, unfortunately all those will reap “their reward” here on earth who are incapable to bend down with love to their brothers!
How good it would be to stop , and in peace, love worship God, and love one another as good brothers freely !
With the humility of a lesser brother ,

The Word of God
Jesus said to the Pharisees, "There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. And at his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who longed to satisfy his hunger with what fell from the rich man's table; even the dogs would come and lick his sores. The poor man died and was carried away by the angels to be with Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried. In Hades, where he was being tormented, he looked up and saw Abraham far away with Lazarus by his side. He called out, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am in agony in these flames.' But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that during your lifetime you received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner evil things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in agony. Besides all this, between you and us a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who might want to pass from here to you cannot do so, and no one can cross from there to us.' He said, 'Then, father, I beg you to send him to my father's house -- for I have five brothers -- that he may warn them, so that they will not also come into this place of torment.' Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the prophets; they should listen to them.' He said, 'No, father Abraham; but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.' He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'"

Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel Tuesday 19 March 2019 The feast of Saint Joseph the spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary
It is good to feel the closeness, touch of the Holy Trinity ! It is good to say yes to the call of God, to His request! It is good to experience that God takes hold of our hand with gentle goodness , but with infinite strength , resoluteness ! It is good to get going by the side of our Creator God ,to go ,to make headways in the land of everyday miracles !
In brief , it is good following the example of Saint Joseph to say "yes “ with trust to God and to accept by the side of Mary ,the life with Jesus Christ ! This what I desire , this is what I want , the is the one and only feasible way for all of us !
With love ,

Jacob was the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary. Of her was born Jesus who is called the Christ. Now this is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found with child through the Holy Spirit. Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man, yet unwilling to expose her to shame, decided to divorce her quietly. Such was his intention when, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the Holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her. She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife into his home.
