Our Lord warns us to be vigilant in today’s gospel , because in reality we do not really know neither the day , nor the hour when will He knock at the door! How ready am I that with my head raised high , joyfully , peacefully to open the door of my life wide to my Lord , God ?
Like it or not this this damn virus is going around and we can also see that here , there knocks , visits some more seriously others more lightly , but visits us ! Where it comes from, how long it stays , what it will brig and what it takes away from our lives ? Today perhaps nobody can answer these questions , but one thing is certain , it is good if we can create order within ourselves and around us ! Today I still have a chance to go and make my reconciliation , the priest awaits us , if you are elderly , sick perhaps you can even invite him to make amends , if needed even to get ready honestly for that final journey ! I have nothing to loose if I carry out also the great autumn cleaning in my heart ! Just as in the garden outside I cut off the dried branches , suckers , the wilted flowers , I dig up the soil, the same as the superfluous lumber of the passing summer to clean them out of my life getting ready nicely, with humility for the new tasks facing me !

Gospel Luke 12, 35-38
Jesus said to his disciples:
“Gird your loins and light your lamps
and be like servants who await their master’s return from a wedding,
ready to open immediately when he comes and knocks.
Blessed are those servants
whom the master finds vigilant on his arrival.
Amen, I say to you, he will gird himself,
have them recline at table, and proceed to wait on them.
And should he come in the second or third watch
and find them prepared in this way,
blessed are those servants.”
