What our ageing world needs are children !! A child is the strongest remedy , the life-giving elixir of mankind !! Yes children have a magical glance the way they look at their parents , it makes them look great the father becomes the the world’s strongest man, the mother the world’s most beautiful woman ! And when children look at me with that infinite trust , faith in their eyes then in me as well great strength , momentum , braveness surfaces !! These innocent pure glances make such springs arise in one, about the existence of which an adult would not even have dreamt of !! Dare to decide by accepting life , dare humbly to become God’s companion and dare to say “yes” to a child !!

You do not receive, because you do not ask -says as Creator God sadly!
Initiative power ? Dare I step forward and address my God with my troubles ? Can I turn to Christ in my sorrowful or joyful times ? Can I touch with trust , faith the Holy Scriptures , or the Blessed Sacrament , or even the statue of our Lady of Csíksomlyó who has been guarding Székelyföld for five hundred years ?
I am sure that it hurts God , that we posses so little initiative power , that even regarding our own affairs we are so lazy , inert !! During the stillness of summer lets compose my requests , lets write a letter to my God and believe it without fear that by the time I am writing the last few letters , by then my God knows the first lines of my letter by heart !!

Today I am only holding one small morsel of the big, wide world in my hand, a schoolbag , a workbench , a wooden spoon or the supervision of a child protection home , but if I am a faithful steward of that , that is I don’t neglect it and neither am I trying to dominate it , but humbly, with good will according to my capabilities I serve it, then I believe it that by divine Providence more and more will be entrusted to me. Lets set out on Jesus Christ’s and the apostles’ way , because this is the only way that can lead not only me, but our world as well from the struggle out of the turmoil of selfishness, greed , seeking of sickly pleasures !

The statue of our Lady of Csíksomlyó accompanied our people during all the adversities of the last 500 hundred years , shared in our painful fate, our everyday joys ! How many people’s desperate complaint, pangs of remorse , prayers of thanksgiving did She listen to during the course of the past centuries !Her presence not only encourages , consoles and strengthens us , but even shows us a way into the future !

For calling Himself God, Jesus paid with His life , He was the greatest thorn in the eyes of the chief priests, that is why they sent Him to be crucified .
Jesus was human as the rest of us . He ate, slept , rejoiced , was afraid , suffered temptation and felt pain as anyone of us . He does not wear our human nature like a garment , but He becomes a true man . I believe and profess the teaching of the two thousand year old Church : Jesus Christ is the Son of God , the true God became incarnate as a true man , His human heart reflects perfectly the heart of God .

The respect of Mary , the blessed Lady of Csíksomlyó, is the respect of the values we learnt from Her and which are still guiding us for our survival , our future hopes ! Mary always decided by life, by Jesus and She does nothing different even today than with heartfelt love offers us the Child , the child faced God who wants to embrace us with infinite love .

Open my eyes my Lord to beauty , treasure that I can see Your precious gifts ! Help me to rejoice in everything that I received as a gift, keep on receiving it and this way slowly I also may want to become myself gift , a gift for the ones around me ! Being aware of my smallness I ask you humbly the gift of becoming a beautiful flower in your garden !! Help that more and more of us would want to become that what is so easy for the flowers of the field !! Lets not be negative , sores in this world but lets dare to burst into bloom ! So that everybody may bear in their own lives their own fruits !

Many times here in this world we cannot sense God’s kindhearted presence , there is a lot we cannot comprehend , but it is quite certain after our death we will realise that every difficulty , pain had their reason , how many miracles happened in our lives , how many times did God appear with His love and startled we will see how many times , He helped us through on one or more hurdles , that we only put down to pure chance or perhaps we just shrugged our shoulder :" Oh ,this is nothing !”

It is so good to say , even if it hurts : “ Look my Lord, I am here I place my life into Your hands , please teach me and transform me . You know, what I need . Glorious beautiful days or perhaps a setback , an illness ? Blessed be Your holy name , I accept anything from Your hand . If You so wish , glorify Your holy name by my healing, but if You see it fit , cleanse me as gold in the fire or in the furnace of setbacks , suffering . It gives great freedom , peace when someone consciously , very -very humbly , dares to place oneself into God’s loving, but firm hands .
