It is so wonderful that we can ask our Lord Jesus Christ with trust to come amongst us in the sacrifice of the holy mass and He really does it , He comes amongst us in the Holy Eucharist ! The greatest mystery on earth , that during  the offertory of every mass  God with trust, love puts Himself into our hands ! I have met many, many great, smart, good-looking people , it is good to be with them but deep down in one’s heart one can feel that they are also just born out of a fistful of dust and if we are honest we have to admit to ourselves that we long for more than just them ! To be totally honest I do not want to be enlightened, I would not like to be justified, I don’t desire  perform miracles,to float, I don’t even want to become a saint I would just like to meet with God ! In the quietness of Lent I can clearly feel, that what I desire the most , very humbly, quietly to be able to sit at the feet of Jesus Christ ! I am aware of the frailty of my insignificance and yet even if He would chide me or on account of my sins He would even punish me , even then my heart is still longing for God :

“Like a deer after a refreshing spring,

my heart yearns , longs for You ,

so would I go towards the living Lord,

when will You come, to take me away .”

It was a great joy that visiting our houses we could celebrate together with my children in the sacrifice of the mass the Eucharist !This is how much I was given with my earthly eyes to approach God , this is why I encourage the dear colleagues , that with gentle goodness take our children to the holy mass , and bathe their fragile little spirits with prayerful love in the precious , holy presence of our Lord Jesus Christ !

I suggest that we develop a framework for our spiritual life . It is totally different for the mother of a family, and elderly person or in case of a friar .Lets have time set aside during the day when we can plan what is to be done , establish an order of priority , lets look at the scenarios when we could fail and we should prepare for these consciously to avoid them: Lets see if there is someone who especially needs our help and how can we assist them . And first of all lets ask for God’s blessing and help for our whole day , so like this we can walk our everyday by holding His hand. It is good if at night we look back and see where we managed to accomplish our decisions , and ask forgiveness for our stumbling ,  like this in our evening prayer we can calm down , we can renew in the  God’s love.

The way the spring sunshine lures out from beside the tree trunk  the tiny snowdrop , the same way the smiling little faces of the children brought out from me the flowers of happiness and joy !! Yes , it is quite certain that it is good  to be everywhere , but the best place is to be surrounded by our children’s smiling, playful circle !!

Reflection...

It often happens , that when we are well, we feel well , we forget about others (that God never ever does) we are not interested in their problems , their suffering , the injustices suffered by them….at times like this our hearts become indifferent : As long as I am well, and I feel well, I forget about the ones who are not well.

Action...

I pray for the people in difficulty : the persecuted Christians , the poor , the sick , the dying and for the dead.

As a priest I did not gild not a sole altar neither a statue , I did not build the Creator  a church out of stone , but I know , that in these young people through me God reaches down to these children.

What man turns into is determined by his actions. Our actions have repercussions on us. The good deeds, virtues make us better , the bad deeds pull us down, sully us. Our actions become part of our personality. We cannot be good so that by this we do not become good. We cannot strive for truth so that we do not become a just person. We cannot be given to lying so that sooner or later we do not become liars . Our actions determine us.
