Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel Thursday 10 January 2019
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring glad tidings to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord. "
Joyfully , spread the good news , all of us who have been baptised in the name of the Holy Trinity received this vocation , the Church anointed me for this mission in the name of God but so did She anoint you ! Joyfully spreading the good news in the world this is our calling , this should be our everyday work wear , but also the purpose of our everyday work !!
Am I going the right way ? Lets ask the people living around us whether I really mean joyous news for them ! How do I grade myself as a joyous one carrying good news from one to ten ?
Today a lovely young couple visited me , with two beautiful children . What is common in the young people is that they both grew up here in Déva named after Our Blessed Lady of Hungary this was there home they left their nest from here ! It was good to meet up with them, it was good to take delight in their two beloved children ! Back in those days the difficulties of life brought us together , but for me they also meant happiness when as small children they came to us, and it was a joy to meet them today as well, because back the, as now as well they are God’s precious gifts ! I would also like to live in a such a way that for them also I can become our creator God’s gift , blessing till the last moments of my life !
Joyfully carrying joyous news so that we also become joyous news , it is this simple , God entrusted us with a wonderful work , praise to Him for this!!
With love ,
Father Csaba

Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news of him spread throughout the whole region. He taught in their synagogues and was praised by all. He came to Nazareth, where he had grown up, and went according to his custom into the synagogue on the sabbath day. He stood up to read and was handed a scroll of the prophet Isaiah. He unrolled the scroll and found the passage where it was written: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring glad tidings to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord. Rolling up the scroll, he handed it back to the attendant and sat down, and the eyes of all in the synagogue looked intently at him. He said to them, "Today this Scripture passage is fulfilled in your hearing." And all spoke highly of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his mouth.
