Many people live in such a way that for a while they just carouse , but after a while realise that their lives are utterly empty, and that the good deeds , the tasks taken on out of love  make one immeasurably happier. Then it is so easy to decide and like a flower , as a matter of course turns its head towards the clear light .

I am starting out with the motto of our father Saint Francis on 6th May:” Lord make me an instrument of your peace !!”This is why asking for the intercession of the great peacemaker , Saint Nicholas of Flue , I wrote a novena ! I would take this novena with me as a gift to our brethren living in the East . I ask you to partake in this novena together with our orphans and all our brethren for whom peace is important ! I ask you with love that we pray together , ask the Heavenly Father , that as in the heart of Europe with the intercession of Saint Nicholas of Flue stopped the murderous fraternal war and brought the blessed peace the same way in Iraq, Syria but the whole of the Middle East  to lead our brethren to a dialogue, conciliation , to a land of peace !!

NOVENA FOR THE BLESSED PEACE FOLLOWING IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF SAINT NICHOLAS OF FLUE

A praying man’s way never ends , because through  faith we can grasp , travel the gentle Infinity, but by this wonderful sense of ours many -many things become visible day after day from our Creator’s secrets. . This blossoming out has no upper limit. Death is nothing more than just another gate , because the purpose of our existence created for infinity is to roam the infinite Love, the infinite Goodness, the infinite Wisdom, the infinite Beauty , God who shared with us the existence,  the life !

Lets not be afraid , we have to dare to become people of contradiction, swimming against the tide , but under all circumstances testify always and everywhere about love , goodness and our hope arising from our faith !

I believe that Christ’s mountain moving power is with us ! Even on Good Friday Christ did not mourn for the world , did not proclaim hopelessness , but hope!

He redeemed us on the cross , did not proclaim the end of the world sadly, in despair but the coming of the kingdom of God!

I am optimistic because it is good to be good ! I look into the future with confidence!

It would be great , if immersed in the stillness of prayer the young people of today would also look for the will of God regarding our common future and would grow up to become prophets teaching, consoling, showing the way, saints in our common homeland , in the Carpathian-basin!

The prayer , the creative ongoing dialogue with God is man’s most important treasure and dignity.

It is wonderful to open up in a prayer arising out faith in front of our Creator, despite our pettiness and all our sins take the arm of the One , who loves us more than anybody else and allow that by His gentle and calming words He helps us back on our feet, to guide us with  a steady  hand, encourage us to perform worthwhile tasks. Living faith -just like vision to a painter- gives a reason for man’s wandering, his life here on earth .

I asked for strength that I might achieve;

I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey.

I asked for health that I might do greater things;

I was given infirmity that I might do better things.

I asked for riches that I might be happy;

I was given poverty that I might be wise.

I asked for power that I might have the praise of men;

I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God.

I asked for all things that I might enjoy life;

I was given life that I might enjoy all things.

I got nothing that I had asked for,

but eveything that I had hoped for.

Almost despite myself my unspoken prayers were answered;

I am, among all men, most richly blessed.

It is not God who will condemn us . He would like everybody to free oneself , to grow tall, that all the values , beauty they posses will surface . If by our little faith , sins, laziness , lack of love we stop this blossoming out then we are not going to grow up that unharmed, unscathed , healthy so that we can enter the Kingdom of Heaven. They say  a tree will fall in the direction towards which it leant during its life. As nice or deformed we made ourselves during our life , we will stand on such a course  at the moment of our death. If Saul would have died at the moment of killing Saint Stephen , he would have gotten into the presence of God deformed , as a totally different man than after writing the Hymn to Love.(St.Paul)

That is why it is very important , how we live. Life has its own stake , consequence that is why we have to do everything in our power to grow up to the freedom of God’s love.

When Saint Francis was praised by his companions , he said :”Do not praise me ! If others would have received the same graces as I did ,they could have achieved much more . “ This can also be turned around : if I would have to face the same temptations , difficult situations in life , family situations as the other person , then would it come to light where  I stand as far the sanctity, holiness of life is concerned . The graces and the temptations are very much custom made , customised . Lets not look at each other , but ourselves . We have to run our own courses the best possible way  we can .

God is not only the Truth , but also the God of Love and Mercy. He sees the path, the course that we should have run , but He also knows well our capabilities , talents, knowledge , ignorance , circumstances , shows us clearly which were the sins that we could not have avoided, but also those which were our responsibilities . We do not all run the same course , but everybody has to run their own course well.

It is quite certain that God is going to judge us by our own standard . Everybody has to produce their own fruit : the melon, the apple , the grapes have to ripen their own flavour.

We cannot compare our own lives, its successes, failures to anybody else’s .

Even if our words cause pain, we have to tell the truth, but we have to think about the wise surgeon, who when carrying out a lifesaving surgical procedure , has to be very, relaxed, patient, because he is aware that the operation can only save the patient’s life if he pays attention to the smallest detail.
