I have been turning the pages of the Holy Scripture these days, seeking comfort, encouragement, strength to carry the cross. I came upon a beautiful verse. "Truly, truly, I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit. "
John 12:24
I read the beautiful words and went out into the wheat field in the unfolding summer! Every green ear is the tomb of a dead grain of wheat! Contemplating the beautiful cycle of life and death, I took out the most beautiful letters of my children, then I fell on my knees and, aware of my smallness and weakness, I thanked for everything! I thanked my parents and grandparents for taking on the fate of wheat for me, and then, offering myself, I consciously said yes to the difficulties of accepting life, of bearing it, of everyday worries, of struggling through them, of God's Holy Will for me!
