One can carouse , but then realises how utterly empty one’s life is and that the good deeds, the tasks undertaken out of love make one immeasurably happy. Then it is so easy to decide and like the flower as a matter of course turns its head towards the pure light.

In the eyes of your God who keeps count of every glass of water given out of love , each saved, comforted life carries a much greater weight than your human blunders or even your sinful mistakes. And the one you comforted , helped , supported at the last judgement will be your advocate with love and gratitude , your merciful consoler !

A Christian's behaviour should be the same as Jesus Christ’s , who on the cross did not ask the “why-s” , but with enormous humility, even with His last breath says ‘Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.’ Luke 26, 46 . It would be important , that in difficult moments we remember these words of Jesus and that we could say : My Lord, my Heavenly Father , maybe I do not understand why certain things are happening to me , I am sorry that I was born , every minute hurts , I am suffering every moment , but I offer my spirit into Your hands , because I trust in You , I know that You are wise and You will heal my wounds.

Yearning towards the Infinity is about as old as mankind .
Man is continuously searching for the answers to the big questions of his own existence : What’s the purpose of living if I am going to die in any case , I’ll be buried and after a hundred years no-one will know what thoughts , desires, plans I had ? Can I be happy when happiness is so fragile , so fleeting , when an unexpected accident , and illness can destroy my dreams any moment ? Is it worthwhile to struggle, trouble myself , establish a family if this hopeless, unpredictable fate is awaiting me and my descendants ?….
Man’s heart created for Infinity is unsettled , the joys, relations in this world can never completely satisfy, fulfil them.

I understood that by giving my all to God I can receive everything. In the yoke of love and goodness I sensed the freedom leading me into the arms of the Infinite God. I was left with nothing and yet , I was filled by a feeling of riches that I never experienced in my life before .

The Heavenly Father’s opinion is what is important , He knows our intentions , our lives, the values, talents that we have received . Our inner peace should not depend on people’s words, smiles .

For a monk it is not the freedom from something that is essential , but the becoming free for something . Not the giving up of something that is the essence , but that through this I can serve the Entirety , the living God and He can possess, hold me in love .

One should not be afraid from the cleansing power of spiritual confrontation , often from its very dark night . Tempers , hard feelings, fears by getting to the surface become conceivable, manageable.

The omission , the lack of a caress, a word of praise , caring, consideration often is much more painful than slap in the face .

Lets not believe that a priest came from an another planet , he is a perfect being , free from all human weaknesses , free from any faults , temptation , sin. He was also made from the same substance, material just like any other human being . Only in the delivery of the sacraments is there an assurance , that even his sinfulness cannot prevent the fruit of grace , whilst in other actions the human aspect of his weakness , fallibility can leave a mark.

Even from the greatest depth one can get up to the light , the way to eternal happiness is not barred to anybody. In fact the repentant sinners often feel even a greater desire to compensate God for their idled away , squandered love, life , the same way as that debtor as well, who had a great debt cancelled.
