Your teaches you to pray . Perhaps it is only the Almighty God who knows , how many times did I get down on my knees over the past years to pray earnestly for our children. Experiencing my own boundaries, limitations how many times did I our the Heavenly Father on my knees for a boy or girl asking the grace of wisdom, strong faith , endurance , of starting anew . And of course I asked for bread, money for the gas bill , good carers with whom one can work miracles in the world of these drifting, frightened, struggling children . Accepting , taking a child in is fasting as well , as how many things does the one has to give up , who decides by accepting life .

We buy a child 2-3 servings of ice-cream , but after that we say , this is it, otherwise you may get a sore throat . We also ask for all sorts of things from God, but He is wise , and He knows what can benefit us and what can harm us . It is difficult to set the right measure for ourselves . That is why it is important to add to our request : May Your will be done and not mine . No matter how much I whinge , but if You see that I have no need for that then do not grant it to me . It is important to believe that God will grant me sooner or later all that is necessary for my body and soul, that where I have risen to the occasion and all that I am capable of accepting . Lets trust in Him, lets accept His will , lets dare to place ourselves into His hand .

The basic needs do not switch off : in our spiritual being tiredness , yearnings , our practical views also enter , but God’s message also comes in , God’s word as well and humbly weighing up all we try to make our decisions according to His will.

Do not delay do your reconciliation , regain your spiritual soundness , health ! It is not only the body , but the spirit is also yearning for cleanliness, to be reborn . All my respect goes out to the one who dares to face the consequences of their actions. A repentant, contrite sinner reaches heaven fallen on their knees in confession .

It is the sick who needs the physician . When one feels vulnerable, fallible and feels the world crumbling around him, then to whom would he go, where could he go ?! He turns to God , so that He may help him . Our Lord puts it so beautifully : ““Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11,28 )

It is not so much that we put our requests into words for God , but rather for ourselves . The parents also know what their children need , yet it is so beautiful when the children lovingly put their needs into words , then with a grateful heart they give thanks for the gift. The desires of a praying man become purer , he can see more clearly what is important, what is really necessary . In the presence of God it is harder for one to lie to oneself , one will realise what is enduring and what is a glass bead .

Our holy places are becoming deserted one after the other . Many are complaining that our churches are demolished . But speaking quite frankly , why should they stand empty?! Likewise at home we tend to rearrange the many junk , till one day we’ll throw it out . Either we fill the churches with life or similarly they will suffer the same fate. Lets fill our churches with prayers again and lets fill them with life again ! Even during weekdays lets sit in there even if just for a few minutes and lets quieten down. We do not have to do this always as part of a congregation . Jesus awaits us , "has consulting hours" ,from morning till night , from night till the morning . A building , no matter how many crosses are on it, if it does not serve life , then it is not serving God .
