He knows that , how small, insignificant , fallible we are , He is not expecting from us great promises, pledges, but what He expects that what we say , we also mean it. That little that we can do , we carry it out with love and goodness.

Love is the backbone of my life, the beautiful green tree, my words , my deeds , my plans, my relations are the glittering ornaments , the delicious sweets. The ornaments are important as without them the tree is not a Christmas tree, but it is quite certain that my life without love is only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. Without love marriage is not valid , it is meaningless to take hold of someone’s hand.

People stand in front of God and show their hands : “ There is blood on your hand , you are a murderer , get out of my sight!” The next one comes , the Lord says : “ There is gold on your hand , you are a thief I don’t even want to see you !” The next one comes and says : Look my Lord , my hands are clean !” The Lord looks at them and says : “ Clean , clean but empty , you also go on your way !”

Love is a conscious decision by another person, endurance even if my heart is not really in it .
It is in vain for me to love the street children from the stillness of my room ! They don’t need to look into my tearful, gentle eyes but what they need that there maybe bread on the table, a roof over their head, food on their plate , a pencil in their hand , a blanket on their bed , so that they get a kind word, a caress.
To do good kindheartedly is very difficult especially for someone who drives me up the wall , who crosses me continuously , who is hostile. It is difficult to do it for them but for Jesus -who loves him as well , who says "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”- already we are capable of doing good straight from the heart.
This is why we are not calculating, insincere , when we do good even, if our heart, our fallible human nature would take us in a different direction.
